Bob Boyles

Bob Boyles was born in St. Joseph on June 13, 1957. He attended Lafayette High School where he was a multi sport athlete and graduated in 1975. He also attended Northwest Missouri State University and Missouri Western State University. After graduating from college he became a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He worked at Missouri Western State University teaching strength and conditioning and coaching classes. He later opened Body Image, a personal training gym in 1994.

Bob’s power lifting career began at his first official competition in 1977. He has won numerous state, regional, national and world championships and has broken many records along the way. A career that has lasted over 40 years and now includes receiving the overall best lifter award in the past three AAU World Championships that he has competed in, including years 2015, 2016 and 2017. He has also won Best Lifter Awards in the past four championships, years 2015 – 2018.

During Bob’s long lifting career he has won over 400 awards. In 2018 Bob was inducted into the AAU Hall of Fame Strength Sports.
