Bugsy Maugh (March 7,1942 – July 2, 2015) was a lifetime musician and a legendary blues and rock performer. In the 1960’s he was the bassist for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Over the years he played with many historic musicians such as Buddy Miles, Todd Rundgren and Janis Joplin. He released several solo albums on Dot-ABC Paramount Records. “Bugsy” and “Inside Bugsy” as the Bugsy Maugh Blues Band.
He was inducted into the Nebraska and Missouri Music Hall of Fame. In 2015 he was given an honorable mention at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Bugsy preformed throughout his life.
