Faucett Ross

Faucett Ross (November 19,1900 – May 18, 1987) became a professional magician in the 1930’s. He was a native and a life long resident of St. Joseph and a veteran of the U.S. Army in W. W. ll.

Faucett entertained many celebrities and Presidents, Wilson, Roosevelt and Truman. He was a member of the Secret Six from 1940 and the New York Inner Circle. Faucett also performed at fairs and carnivals. He was awarded an honorary lifetime membership with the Academy of Magical Arts. Faucett had many friends in magic and it was estimated that during the course of his life he wrote over 20,000 letters.

Faucett organized and co authored several books about magic. His routines and effects were mentioned in several books by well known magicians. There were two standard tricks that were his favorites; the Egg Bag and the Thirty Card Trick.

His grandfather R. H. Faucett, founded the town of Faucett, Mo.
