Hannah De Priest was born and raised in St. Joseph ( April 5, 1991 ) and now lives in Chicago with her husband and dog Teddy. The young Lyric soprano preforms classical music, including opera, concerts, and recitals across the United States and Europe. Hailed a “breakout artist” (Boston Globe ) with “a voice that is theater itself” ( Classic News), recent credits include her Kennedy Center debut with Opera Lafayette, her European debut at the Innsbruck Early Music Festival, and multiple productions with Boston Early Music Festival. Her next season includes concerts with Ars Lyrica Houston, Bach cantatas with Atlanta Brooque Orchestra, and recitals with the Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago. In the fall, Hannah will record her debut solo album of French and Italian baroque music with ensemble Les Delices. Next spring she returns to the storied Boston Early Music Festival as Livia in Keiser’s opera Octavia before touring and recording, The Dragon of Wantley, with the Festival’s orchestra in Europe in late summer of 2025. She first fell in love with performing as a kid in St. Joe, and learned the ropes of singing and acting in the Theater department at Central High School.
