Terin Humphrey

Terin Marie Humphrey (born August 14, 1986) in St. Joseph is a retired American artistic gymnast. She competed on bars and balance beams at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece where she helped the United States team place second, scoring 9.587 and 9.487 respectively. She also competed in the event finals on the uneven bars and won an individual silver metal.

Some of her accomplishments and career highlights include, being a 2003 member of the USA gold metal team at the World Championship in Anaheim, California, a 2004 member of the USA Olympic Silver metal team at the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece and a 2004 individual Silver individual medalist on the uneven bars at the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

From 2005 – 2008 she received 10 College All American honors and was a member of the University of Alabama gymnastics team. She was a 6 year member of the USA Gymnastics National team. In 2008 Humphrey was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame as a 2003 USA team member, which was the first ever USA Team Gold metal at the World Championships. In 2016 she was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. Humphrey is currently a member of the US Olympic Gymnastics selection committee.
